Job Description
12-Month Lecturer - Department of Landscape Architecture The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) is a pioneer of purpose-driven science and Cornell University's second largest college. Position Function This position requires an experienced instructor to teach a total of six courses over the course of one year. In Summer 2026, the instructor will be responsible for teaching

Design Studio NYC, andLA 7006, LA
Design Seminar NYC, both of which will take place in New York City, NY. During Fall 2026 and Spring 2027, the instructor will teach one studio course and one seminar course each semester on the Ithaca, NY, campus, with the specific courses to be determined in consultation with the department chair. The lecturer will be invited to participate in the ongoing affairs of the department including open faculty meetings, committee work, and typical service duties, including attendance at lectures, thesis reviews, and other events. The lecturer will not have formal advisees assigned to them. However, students will expect to get informal advice on job searches and internship opportunities. The lecturer may also advise students working on independent research or design projects. Anticipated Division of Time • Teaching (including preparation, grading, holding office hours, etc.), 90% • Service, 10% Requirements A Master's degree (MLA) or PhD in Landscape Architecture. Prior teaching experience is preferred. Holdong a valid driver's license for course field trips is desirable but not required.
