Records Technician I Bristol Bay Native Corporation - 4.2 Anchorage, AK Job Details Full-time 14 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Driver's License Clerical experience Full Job Description The Records Technician I will support the development, integration and execution of BBNC's Records and Information Management (RIM) program. The Records Technician I will report to BBNC's Senior Manager of Records & Information Management and work closely with the Records Information Management Lead in accordance with BBNC's RIM procedures.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Assists with identifying records, appropriately collecting, boxing and moving documents to the RIM department, classifying and inventorying records, and performing quality control of inventoried records. Assists BBNC's departments in preparing boxes for transfer and storage which may include physically lifting material, utilizing warehouse equipment. Performs file maintenance, database input, and document preparation. Performs scanning, microfilm and imaging duties in accordance with BBNC's Records Management policies and procedures. Performs various clerical duties required to update the appropriate logs, databases, and indexes. Provides active file support to BBNC departments. Assists other departments and Records Coordinators in preparing boxes for transfer and storage. Performs hardcopy document preparation services for inventorying, microfilming or scanning. Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to produce written reports. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive matters Orientation to quality; high attention to detail. Must work well with others and communicate effectively. Skill in operating and maintaining micrographic and imaging equipment. Knowledge of Microsoft programs, i.e, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point. Must be punctual, dependable and responsive to requests; BBNC's normal business hours are from 8-5
Minimum Qualifications:
High school graduate, general equivalency diploma (G.E.D) or the equivalent; 1 year clerical experience; Valid Alaska Drivers Licenses that meets BBNC insurance criteria. Physical Demands Frequent sitting to review and enter data. Periodic standing or walking to retrieve, file, or deliver records. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull file boxes or office materials, often in the range of 10-25 pounds (occasionally up to 40 pounds depending on the employer). Repetitive hand and arm motions for filing, typing, scanning, or organizing documents. Reaching above shoulder height and bending/kneeling to access lower or high file drawers. Adequate vision and manual dexterity for reading small print, operating office equipment, and handling documents. Occasional extended time working at a computer or in a records storage environment. Ability to navigate shelving units or storage areas safely (sometimes including step stools or ladders, depending on the organization).
