Department Name History Funding Type Grant Funded Work Study Position Summary The Arkansas Division of the National Consortium for Teaching about Asia (ARNCTA) seeks applications for a paid 8-week summer internship, lasting from May 1 - June 26, 2026. ARNCTA is part of a decades-long, nationwide initiative to improve teaching and learning about East Asia in K-12 classrooms, and during the summer we dedicate ourselves to hosting focused professional development sessions for teachers, developing new curriculum materials, and maintaining an active database of materials on our website (arncta.com). The student internship requires a 10 hour per-week commitment, but specific work hours may be flexible depending on the intern's schedule. Pay is $14/hr. Preference will be given to students minoring in Asian Studies. Job Duties and Responsibilities The summer intern's duties and responsibilities include: Promoting ARNCTA workshops by designing flyers, social media announcements, and maintaining an e-mail list-serv Updating and formatting teaching resources related to Asia on arncta.com and Google Classroom Researching new Asia-related resources appropriate for K-12 classrooms Providing research assistance on a long-term archival projects to create teaching resources related to Asian American communities in Arkansas. •Meeting weekly with the ARNCTA Director to discuss progress toward the above duties University, Campus, and Community Description Thank you for your interest in employment at the University of Central Arkansas.
