2026 Congress Book Shelvers Daughters of the American Revolution - 4.0 Washington, DC Job Details Seasonal $17.95 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Library collection arrangement Physical document handling File organization Office record organization Full Job Description The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) is seeking temporary contract staff to shelve books and materials in the Library during the NSDAR's annual convention. This is a temporary assignment for one week only, beginning Tuesday, June 23rd from 9:00 am to 5:00pm and from Wednesday, June 24th through Saturday, June 27th 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Eligibility Requirements and Qualifications:
Must be able to reach, lift, carry books of various weights to and from tables, bookshelves and carts, bend, move about quickly, and stand or sit, for long periods of time. Must be proficient in basic organization skills, and filing rules (i.e. alphabetizing, etc.). Must have the ability to read book titles and other materials to file them accurately, and in the appropriate location. Must be able to interact professionally with members and visitors attending the convention. Individuals under the age of 18 MUST obtain proper work permits and adhere to strict scheduling requirements.
