Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Auction Cataloger, where you'll play a vital role in organizing and describing diverse collections of auction items. Your expertise in cataloging and database organization will ensure that each item is accurately documented, easily accessible, and ready for presentation in high-profile auctions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine research skills within an auction house environment. Your meticulous attention to detail and passion for historical artifacts or collectibles will help elevate our auction offerings and enhance the experience for bidders and collectors alike. Requirements Duties Develop comprehensive catalog entries for auction items, including detailed descriptions, provenance, and condition reports. Manage and update databases using specialized cataloging software to ensure accuracy and consistency. Collaborate with management to verify item information and ensure proper classification. Organize collections through tagging to facilitate efficient searchability and retrieval. Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries about auction items, catalog details with clarity and professionalism. Being able to lift up to 50 pounds is required occasionally. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Proven management and project management capabilities to oversee cataloging workflows from start to finish. Leadership qualities that foster collaboration within teams and guide junior staff or interns when necessary.
Pay:
$15.00 - $25.00 per hour
