Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Rockville Maryland for a Documentum Records Manager. The specialist will support a Government customer by providing direct user support and configuration of a Documentum based system. Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Documentum Records Manager to lead our records management and information governance initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the lifecycle of organizational documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Your expertise will help streamline document management processes, enhance archival practices, and safeguard sensitive information across multiple platforms. Qualifications Expertise in the Documentum platform, including management, configuration, and troubleshooting Experience with Documentum WebTop Experience in workflow design, optimization, and implementing system updates Expertise in records management Experience with the creation and modification of ACLs Proficiency in technical support, system performance monitoring, and data security practices Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams Strong verbal and written communication skills Prior experience working in federal government or related environments is a plus Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Responsibilities Manage and maintain document management systems, including iManage, SharePoint, and other content management platforms, ensuring they operate efficiently and securely. Develop and implement metadata schemas, taxonomies, and filing structures to facilitate easy retrieval and consistent organization of records. Oversee archival processing in accordance with archival standards and best practices, ensuring proper preservation of historical records. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements related to records retention, data security, and information privacy. Conduct regular audits of records and archives to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to policies. Coordinate digitization projects to convert physical documents into digital formats while maintaining data integrity. Provide training and support to staff on document management procedures, information security protocols, and organizational skills necessary for effective records handling. Experience Proven experience managing document management systems such as iManage or SharePoint within a corporate or legal environment. Strong understanding of metadata creation, taxonomy development, and filing strategies for effective information classification. Demonstrated knowledge of compliance management, information governance frameworks, and archival standards. Prior experience in records management, archives management, or content management systems with a focus on digitization initiatives. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Background in administrative roles involving proofing documents for accuracy and managing data security protocols. Familiarity with archival processing techniques and standards to ensure proper preservation of historical records.
