Crozier Fine Arts is seeking a motivated Art Handler to join our Warehouse Inventory team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and integrity of fine art collections during packing, crating, and storage, while acting as a key liaison between clients and company management during projects. What You'll Do In this role, you will: Handle, move and transfer, including loading and unloading, artifacts/artworks to and from warehouse and storage as well as fine art transportation units (trucks - big rig or box trucks) Install/de-install artworks in the warehouse viewing gallery using proper techniques and tools. Provide friendly and professional service for any/all client interactions. Use appropriate techniques/materials for wrapping, packing and crating of items such as furniture, deco-arts, etc, as well as ensuring the safe handling of all items for packing/crating in the warehouse Conduct inventory checks and inspection reports for various art objects Oversee the receipt, storage, moves, and shipment of artworks and related reporting in accordance with established procedures. Organize and maintain operational tools and materials. Also, safely operates tools and machinery What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications) The ideal candidate will have: 1-2 years of experience in Art/Artifact Handling in a Warehouse, Gallery, Museum, or Commercial Art Company OR an Associate's Degree in Art, Art History, Museum Studies, or a related field. A High School Diploma is required. Knowledge of standard packing, crating, and installation techniques and materials. Prior experience using various tools and equipment such as pallet jacks, j-bars, gantry, and dollies is a plus. Forklift certificate is not required, but highly preferred. Ability to lift and move heavy objects (in excess of 75 lbs), bend, kneel, crouch, and stand. Ability to communicate effectively/efficiently with clients and coworkers; attention to detail; discretion; follow-through; and a self-motivated team player attitude. Pay:
Starting at $22.00/hr (•Negotiations Depending on Experience),
Bi-Weekly Direct Deposit Shift:
Monday through Friday, 7 AM till 4 PM (OT may be required.)
