Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Records Analyst to join our team, focusing exclusively on candidates based in Austin. This vital role involves managing and maintaining comprehensive records and information systems to ensure accuracy, compliance, and accessibility. As a Records Analyst, you will play a key part in supporting our information governance initiatives, overseeing document management processes, and ensuring adherence to archival standards. Your expertise will help streamline our data management workflows and uphold the highest standards of records integrity. Responsibilities Duties include coordinating with Commission staff to organize document folders on the Commission's shared drive, appropriately renaming record files to eliminate bad file pathways, designating files with record retention schedules in accordance with Texas State Library & Archives Commission (TSLAC) standards, as well as identify and, if necessary, recommend disposition, after consultation with TSC personnel. The record management officer function includes administering the records program, assisting the agency head, and disseminating information. Skills
  • Experience in record management work.
  • Previous experience working at a government agency (local/state/federal).
  • Experience with shared-drive or SharePoint/Teams file cleanup, long-path remediation, file naming conventions, metadata preservation, and audit trails.
  • Strong Excel/data reconciliation skills for path inventories, crosswalks, exception logs, and reports.
Pay:
From $60.00 per hour
Experience:
record management work.: 5 years (Required) government agency (local/state/federal). : 2 years (Preferred) File cleanup, remediation & audit for SharePoint/Teams. : 5 years (Required) Strong Excel skills for data reconciliation and reporting: 5 years (Required)
