Job Description

Our mission is simple: We "seek to bring forth and establish the cause of Zion." We do this by digitizing and cataloging facility records for future projects and research. Our interns work in an uplifting atmosphere as they catalog manuals, images, landscape designs, floor plans, and design plans, and collaborate with a variety of groups inside and outside the church to meet the research needs on and around Historic Temple Square.

$22.50/hour
DOE Hours:
Flexible in office hours between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through
Friday Internship Length:
12 months, 20-28 hours per week
Location:
Temple Square, Downtown, Salt Lake City, UT This is a temporary part-time position We need someone currently studying or with a degree in Records Management, Library Science, or related field. Our ideal candidate has experience using Adobe Acrobat and supporting technologies in a professional office and is proficient with the MS Office Suite. We need organized individuals who are professional, with good customer service skills. We're looking for individuals who enjoy working in a highly collaborative team, with professional written and oral communications skills. We want hardworking, self-motivated individuals with the willingness to manage multiple work assignments. Experience in reading construction documents preferred. Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter. Work:
Collect, digitize, and catalog vital architectural plans, operation and maintenance manuals, images of facilities, and landscape layouts Assist manager in researching and providing facility related documentation for Shops, Designers, Project Managers, Facility Managers, Contractors, and Consultants Implement the Department Records Management Plan (DRMP) Collaborate with other divisions to identify preservation tactics for identified collections, and records preservation processes Organize and conduct oral histories Assist with SharePoint audits and retention
