SecurShred specializes in providing secure and reliable solutions for the handling and disposal of confidential information and electronic media. Our services include secure document and data destruction, off-site records storage, electronics recycling, and document imaging. We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Document Imaging and Data Processing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for completing tasks related to paper and digital document workflows, ensuring accurate document sorting, batching, converting paper documents into digital formats, indexing, quality control, and upload. The ideal candidate will possess organizational and time management abilities to support efficient paper and electronic document processing, and strong computer skills to work effectively with imaging and data management software. Ability to collaborate with other team members of the department is essential to daily completion of time sensitive tasks. The position requires 40 hours/week availability, Monday through Friday. Service Bureau generally operates from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Document Prep
- sorting and opening mail, reviewing paper/electronic documents and assigning to adequate categories based on various document characteristics, and document content. Document Batching
- grouping files based on specific processing criteria, for digitization process. Imaging
- converting paper to digital formats using high speed scanners and specialized imaging software. Indexing
- assigning adequate naming convention based on the guidelines specific to the job. Quality Control
- performing quality assurance of the image, document integrity and naming convention. Data Verification
- ensuring accuracy of a specific information within document, using management software, spreadsheets, and other tools to retrieve and fill in missing information. Batch Export and Upload
- overseeing automation of creating proper digital file structure and providing digital data to the customers.
Communication and Reporting. To function effectively in this role, the candidate should match following profile: Be punctual and present at work within scheduled working hours. Be able to present attention to details, tidiness and organizing skills, eye to hand coordination and accuracy. Be able to read instructions in English and follow directions of how to handle documents for individual projects, learn and follow procedures, specific to each job. Be able to operate and use office tools and equipment like staple remover, paper cutter, printer, copier, etc. Be able to collaborate in a team but also perform work independently to complete projects and meet deadlines. Must present time management skills. The job involves signing in and out of production logs separately for each project, tracking time dedicated to assignment and completing the task in timely manner, according to the project guidelines, while providing quality product. Must be able to communicate with project manager and adopt any changes in procedures quickly and effectively. This job involves sitting/standing and repetitive motions, and lifting boxes up to 35 lb.
