Job Description
Professor of Theater- Fall 2026 (1 Year Temporary) Are you looking for a chance to teach, create, and inspire on stage and in the classroom? Arizona Western College seeks a student-focused Theatre Professor for a one-year temporary appointment. This role combines teaching, mentorship, and production leadership, including a 15-equated teaching load per semester and directing/co-producing mainstage productions. Typical Duties:
Serves Students. Teach 15 equated load hours/semester (to include material and preparation time); develop and grade exams and instruments to evaluate student learning and progress; submission of student grades/progress as required by the programs/policies of the Instruction area. Maintain a minimum of 5 office hours/week/semester load and direct interaction with students in a formal learning environment for a 15-equated load hour schedule. Remain current in the discipline and update course content. Maintain and update annually standard syllabus/outline for each course in accordance with program/procedures. Master's degree in the discipline, OR Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the discipline, OR Master's degree in any discipline with three years of related experience, OR Bachelor's degree with industry certification and three years experience, OR Bachelor's degree with Arizona teaching certificate and three years teaching experience, OR Meet qualifications as outlined under institutional procedure,Faculty Credentials Salary:
