Private & Group Lesson Piano Faculty - Belmont Community School of Music and Arts - 4.5 Belmont, CA Job Details Part-time $35 - $55 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Employee discount 403(b) Retirement plan Qualifications Bilingual Music In-person tutoring Piano Bachelor's degree Piano Music Education Organizational skills Teaching Teaching instrumental performance Full Job Description SUMMARY The Community School of Music and Arts is seeking a motivated, experienced, fun and engaging individual to teach in-person private piano lessons to children and adults, as well as group lessons to adults at Artisan Crossing in Belmont. This is a part-time, hourly position. Please be sure to review the schedule and location information below prior to applying.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATION
Thorough knowledge of the principles and practical aspects of private music instruction and a solid understanding of Piano pedagogy. Minimum Bachelor's degree in performance and/or music education with an emphasis in Piano. Proven success in teaching in a private studio. Experience and interest in teaching students of all ages, abilities and interest levels with an emphasis on appreciation and enjoyment of music. Demonstrated success teaching beginning level students preferred. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to teach and converse comfortably with diverse groups of people. The ability to communicate in a positive and consistent way with parents, students, and administration. Performing experience preferred.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in performance and/or music education with an emphasis Piano
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Recruiting, scheduling, billing, and customer service is handled by full-time staff. Staff takes into account the individual teaching philosophy of each teacher when placing students. Workshop, Recital and Masterclass opportunities for students at no additional cost.

Teach in-person at CSMA's Belmont location Must be available to teach on Fridays between 3:30 to 8:30 pm
