Job Description
Position Summary The Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia invites applications for up to three (3) full-time Lecturer positions beginning August 2026. These are 9-month, full time, non-tenure track appointments with benefits. Lecturers will teach a 4/4 load (eight courses per academic year) in studio and related art courses, supporting core undergraduate instruction across the School of Art. These positions are intended to strengthen foundational and intermediate-level offerings while providing instructional flexibility across the curriculum. Lecturers are expected to contribute fully to undergraduate instruction, participate in service appropriate to a teaching-focused appointment, and engage actively in the intellectual and creative life of the School. Additional Requirements Candidates with a non-terminal master's degree must document exceptional accomplishments in their respective field and be approved for a terminal degree exception before hire. Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Interest in curriculum development and collaborative engagement within a comprehensive art program.
