Job Description

Required documents to be uploaded are: Letter of Interest Curriculum Vitae A list of at least three references with contact information Cover voice studio for fall term: Teach voice lessons (16.5 hours/wk), freshman through doctoral levels in Voice Performance, as well as undergraduates in Choral Music Education. Lead weekly studio class (1.5 hours/wk).
Duration of appointment:
Fall 2026 only Effort %: 45% Start date of appt: 8/31/26 Expected date of offer: 4/27/26 Tenor; Extensive performance experience at the highest professional level, in opera, oratorio, concert and recital repertoire Proven effectiveness and documented track record as an applied voice teacher at institutions of higher education An outstanding artist and pedagogue with a thorough knowledge of opera, oratorio, musical theatre, and concert literature. Applicants whose professional activity has centered mainly on performance must demonstrate expertise and experience in teaching by having presented master classes, maintained a private studio, or served as guest faculty members at institutions of higher education. Demonstrate proficiency in German, Italian, Latin, French and English. Piano proficiency Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar; OpenOffice; Zoom preferred. This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
