Home / Jobs / Music Adjunct (Vocal Performance) All Open Positions Share Music Adjunct (Vocal Performance) Faculty (Part Time) Date Posted April 27, 2026 Office Academics Applications by: Location Main Campus - West St. Louis County Summary Missouri Baptist University is looking to hire an Adjunct Instructor - Music (Vocal Performance). The successful candidate will teach private and group lessons in voice and other music classes as assigned by the Associate Dean of the School of Performing Arts. There may be additional opportunities for collaboration and performance with various MBU music ensembles. Prepare and teach courses and lessons as assigned in music. Cultivate student's curiosity for the subject matter and its applications to their degree program Essential Responsibilities Classroom preparation, instruction, & grading with constructive feedback. Prepare syllabi and maintain course management materials through Canvas. Attend/complete required adjunct faculty training (1-2 meetings per year). Routine administrative reporting (attendance, grades, gradebook submissions). Minimum Education/Experience Earned graduate degree in music with an undergraduate degree in the same or similar field of study; 2-3 years of music teaching experience in private, school or ensemble settings. Preferred Education/Experience Earned graduate degree in music. Teaching experience in a private music studio, school/university setting, church and/or professional ensemble.
