Job Description

Centenary University's Theatre Department is seeking an Adjunct Voice Faculty member to teach private vocal instruction beginning in the Fall 2026 semester . The instructor will work with musical theatre students in private vocal sessions on a bi-weekly schedule. Lessons will focus on building healthy vocal technique, musicianship, performance skills, and confidence in a supportive studio environment. Centenary provides a fully equipped teaching studio, including a piano and sound system , for instructional use.
Responsibilities include:
Teaching private voice lessons to undergraduate students Supporting students in vocal technique, repertoire development, and performance preparation Communicating with students regarding lesson scheduling and expectations Collaborating, when needed, with theatre and musical theatre faculty
Qualifications:
Experience teaching private voice lessons Background in musical theatre, classical, contemporary, or commercial vocal styles preferred Commitment to creating a positive and supportive learning environment
Position Details:
This is a part-time adjunct faculty position. Students meet with the instructor on a bi-weekly basis for private vocal sessions. Interested applicants should submit a resume/CV and brief cover letter.
