Job Description

The School of Art typically offers a variety of Ceramics courses. Examples for which we seek instructors include non-majors, intermediate-, and advanced-level courses. Studio classes typically meet for three hours a day, two days a week, over a 14-week semester. Studio courses have an average enrollment of 15 students per class. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis all year long. Candidates who meet criteria for needed courses will be contacted during planning for the fall or spring semesters. About The School of Art The School of Art is one of five schools within the College of Fine Arts, which also includes the Schools of Architecture, Design, Drama, and Music. Benchmarks of the School include collaborative relationships with innovative learning environments such as the Center for Arts in Society, the Frank-Ratchye STUDIO for Creative Inquiry, and IDeATe; and a unique curriculum that includes contextual practice, critical theory, and technology alongside programs in electronic and time-based media, painting, drawing, and sculpture. The School of Art is ranked as number six in the US and is currently number one in Time-Based and New Media by US News and World Reports. Qualified candidates will have an MFA.
