Position Summary Tri-County Technical College is seeking innovative and student-centered educators to join our pool of Adjunct Music Faculty. We are looking for passionate instructors to teach MUS 105 Music Appreciation, a core transfer course designed to introduce students to the elements, history, and cultural significance of music. As an adjunct, you will have the opportunity to engage a diverse student body through in-person, online, or hybrid formats, depending on departmental needs and your availability.Key Responsibilities Instruction:
Deliver high-quality instruction in Music Appreciation (MUS 105), ensuring the course meets transfer-level standards.Course Management:
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress via the college's Learning Management System (LMS).Student Engagement:
Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical listening and appreciation for various musical genres and eras.Flexibility:
Teach at various campus locations (Pendleton, Anderson, Easley, or Oconee) or online as scheduled. Minimum and Additional Requirements To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following academic criteria: Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in any music discipline; OR Master's Degree (in any field) with a minimum of 18 graduate-level semester hours in music or music-related disciplines. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience teaching at the post-secondary (college) level. Experience with online instruction and digital course shells (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard). A background in a wide range of musical styles, from classical to contemporary and world music.
