Position Overview ReThink Microschools is seeking a dynamic, creative, and student-focused Art / Social Studies Teacher who is passionate about interdisciplinary learning and building strong connections with students. This role is ideal for an educator who thrives in a collaborative, flexible environment and is excited to design engaging, project-based learning experiences that integrate both artistic expression and social studies concepts. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons in Art and Social Studies for students in grades 5-12 Create interdisciplinary projects that connect history, culture, civics, and visual arts Foster a classroom environment that supports creativity, critical thinking, and student voice Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including neurodivergent learners Build strong, positive relationships with students and families Utilize formative and performance-based assessments to guide instruction Collaborate with colleagues to support a cohesive, student-centered learning experience Incorporate hands-on, experiential learning opportunities and real-world connections Support students in developing both academic and social-emotional skills Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Art, Social Studies, or a related field (Master's preferred) Valid Arizona teaching certification (or ability to obtain) Vaild IVP Card Experience teaching middle and/or high school students preferred Strong background in project-based or inquiry-based learning Ability to teach across disciplines and think creatively about curriculum design Experience working with diverse learners, including students with varying learning needs Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills What Makes You a Great Fit You believe learning should be engaging, personalized, and meaningful You are flexible, innovative, and comfortable thinking outside of traditional models You prioritize relationships and know that connection drives learning You enjoy small class environments where you can truly impact each student You bring energy, creativity, and passion into the classroom every day Why Join ReThink Microschools? $49,000.00 - $54,500.00 per year
