We are seeking a passionate and experienced Elementary and Middle School Art Teacher to join our dedicated team at Montessori on the Lake. The ideal candidate will have prior experience teaching art and a strong background in visual arts education. This position plays a crucial role in fostering creativity, self-expression, and an appreciation for the arts in our students.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging art lessons that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Create a positive, supportive classroom environment that promotes creativity, confidence, and student well-being. Introduce a variety of artistic techniques, materials, and art history concepts appropriate for elementary and middle school students. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school administration to support student success and school goals. Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to school-wide initiatives.

Assessment:

Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress through projects, portfolios, and class participation. Provide constructive feedback to students to support artistic growth and skill development.

Art Skills Development:

Teach foundational and advanced art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Encourage creative thinking, problem-solving, and individual artistic expression.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred (Art, Art Education, or related field). Prior experience teaching art. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. How we'll support you and what you'll love about us: $20
