Job Description
Art Teacher Job PostingJob Overview We are seeking a passionate Art Teacher to inspire students through creativity and artistic expression. The ideal candidate should have experience in teaching and educating students in various art forms, including traditional art techniques and digital art. They should also have an understanding of special educational approaches for students of All Abilities . Responsibilities Develop and implement art lesson plans that align with curriculum standards Instruct students on various art techniques and mediums (both traditional and digital) Foster a creative and inclusive learning environment Provide constructive feedback to students on their artwork Organize and oversee art projects and exhibitions (including online galleries) Develop and implement customized art education programs for students of all abilities Teach the use of digital art tools and software Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art into interdisciplinary lessons Guide and advise students in preparing art portfolios for college applications Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher in Art Education (Master's preferred) Minimum of 3 years of art teaching experience Proficiency in various traditional art media (drawing, painting, sculpture, etc.) Proficiency in digital art software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate) Basic knowledge of 2D design and illustration Experience with digital art hardware (graphic tablets, styluses, etc.) Experience in guiding students with portfolio preparation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to develop creative and innovative teaching methods Deep understanding of art history and contemporary art trends Knowledge of child development and behavior management techniques Familiarity with early childhood and adult education principles Experience in art education for students of all abilities or relevant training Willingness to continuously learn about the latest digital art trends and technologies Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of special education practices First aid certification Portfolio Guidance Skills Support students in developing their personal artistic style Knowledge of portfolio requirements for various art colleges Ability to effectively select and organize students' work Skill in guiding the creation of portfolios integrating both digital and traditional art Guide students in writing artist statements
