Part-Part Time Art Instructor (Studio + Off-Site Events)

Art Magic Studio is an established, fast-growing creative workshop studio in San Diego and Oceanside specializing in modern hands-on art experiences including resin art, textured art, clay, jewelry-making, private events, corporate team-building, and seasonal kids camps. We are expanding and seeking a confident, professional Part-Time Art Instructor who can lead both in-studio classes and off-site private events. This is not a casual hobby position — we are looking for someone who can represent our brand with leadership, energy, and reliability. Key Responsibilities Lead structured adult workshops (resin art, textured art, clay, mixed media, jewelry) Lead kids camps and private children's events Facilitate private parties (birthdays, bridal showers, corporate events) Travel to off-site event locations when scheduled Prepare materials and manage event setup/breakdown Maintain classroom structure, timing, and guest engagement Ensure high-quality client experience and studio standards What We're Looking For Strong hands-on art background (teaching experience preferred) Confident public speaker comfortable leading 8-25 participants Experience working with children (for camps & kids events) Excellent time management and organization Professional appearance and communication Ability to problem-solve during live events Reliable transportation (required for off-site events) Availability on weekends and some weekday evenings Ideal Candidate Profile You are: Creative but structured Warm but assertive Energetic and engaging Comfortable managing group dynamics Able to follow curriculum while adding your personality You understand that leading workshops is both art and performance. Schedule Part-time Primarily weekends + select weekday evenings Seasonal increase during school breaks (kids camps) Off-site events scheduled in advance Compensation Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
