What You'll Do Teach high school art courses Design engaging lessons in areas such as drawing, painting, design, and mixed media Encourage creativity, self-expression, and artistic risk-taking Support students in developing both technical skills and creative thinking Display and celebrate student artwork within the school and community Build strong relationships with students and families Collaborate with colleagues to support student success Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture What We Offer Minimum starting salary: $50,000 for educators new to the profession (The 2026
- 27 starting salary schedule is pending board approval.) Requirements Preferred candidates will hold: K-8 Art
- 113 5-12 Art
- 114 Other applicable Iowa endorsements may also be considered.
Candidates who are eligible for licensure or are currently completing an approved teacher preparation program are encouraged to apply. Job Requirements Citizenship, residency, or a work visa required
