Job Description

Position OverviewWe are seeking a passionate and dynamic 7th-12th Grade Art Teacher to inspire creativity, foster artisticgrowth, and cultivate a vibrant learning environment for students across middle and high school levels.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop engaging curricula, mentor young artists, andintegrate innovative learning technologies. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of artistic expertise,classroom management skills, and a commitment to nurturing students individual talents and interestsin the visual arts. Qualifications Idaho teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement(s) Strong background in teaching methods, developmentally appropriate classroom activities, andeffective classroom management Demonstrated knowledge of subject matter and effective teaching methods Strong background in curriculum and the Idaho Core Standards Strong background in the integration of technology with instruction Ability to maintain a positive learning environment Work well with students, staff, and the public Excellent organizational skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Able to work under deadlines Maintain confidentiality of staff and studentsDemonstrate consistent, daily attendance and punctuality. We believe that student achievement is directly tied to the consistency of instruction and the stability of the classroom environment Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

SalaryContingent based on education and experience.2025-2026 Certified Salary Schedule range: $50,252

schoolinsites.com/salaryschedulesBenefitsEmployee medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage paid 100% by the district. Family benefits paidat 80% coverage. $20,000 employee life insurance and $2,000 dependent life insurance paid by thedistrict. Eligible for PERSI retirement.
Schedule:
Four-day school week with periodic Friday work days
  • 174 contract days per school year
