We are professional, customer-centric, and creative. Our goal is to provide a space for ceramic artists to work while introducing the broader community to ceramics through classes, workshops, and art shows. We believe wholeheartedly in the value and impact of fine arts programs in every community.
Our work environment includes:
Casual work attire Flexible working hours Regular social events Lively atmosphere We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and dedicated ceramicist to teach classes and guide students in the field. Candidates must have a background in ceramics and be confident instructing a range of techniques, including hand-building, wheel throwing, and decorative processes such as glazing. Responsibilities include developing and executing lesson plans, leading engaging classes, and supporting students at varying skill levels. The ideal candidate demonstrates pottery skills, effective classroom management, and the ability to design thoughtful, structured curricula. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys sharing their expertise, can work with a diverse range of personalities and ages, and is committed to creating a meaningful and impactful learning experience for students. Contractor position.
Responsibilities:
Teach group classes in studio or classroom environment Teach students of different skill levels and abilities Teach proper glaze application techniques Develop age and skill level appropriate lessons plans Identify common beginner mistakes in student work, then communicate solutions Update class attendance sheets every day classes meet Maintain a clean classroom environment and organize students to properly and efficiently clean after themselves and after each class session Wedge clay Glaze pottery Load and unload kiln
