Rondout is a high-achieving, single-school K-8 district that values creativity, innovation, collaboration, and educating the whole child. The successful candidate will inspire students through engaging visual arts experiences while fostering artistic expression, critical thinking, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts. Responsibilities Plan and deliver standards-based visual arts instruction for K-8 students. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Integrate a variety of artistic media, techniques, and technologies. Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. Assess student progress and communicate effectively with families. Collaborate with teachers and staff to support interdisciplinary learning. Coordinate student art displays and the annual school art show. Participate in school events, professional development, and collaborative teams.
Qualifications Required:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) Illinois Art Education Endorsement Strong instructional, classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
Preferred:
Experience teaching art in a K-8 setting Experience organizing student exhibitions and schoolwide art events Knowledge of differentiated instruction, technology integration, and inclusive practices Why Rondout?
