Medford Schedule:
6-week sessions, 1-hour classes (4-5pm or 5:30-6pm), 1 day a week (flexible on day) Fall 1: September 14th- October 19th (6 sessions) Fall 2: Nov 2nd - December 7th (6 sessions)
Position Overview:
We are seeking creative, enthusiastic Art Teachers to lead engaging, hands-on classes for children at ourmunity art center. This role involves teaching 6-week sessions in the agreed upon medium.
Currently looking for teachers in:
Painting, Collage, Sculpture, making, and multimedia. The ideal candidate is passionate about arts education, enjoys working with kids, and can create a fun, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. Class sizes will be 6-10 kids.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and teach 1-hour classes over 6-week sessions Develop age-appropriate lesson plans that encourage creativity and skill-building Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment Prepare andanize materials for each class Maintain a clean and safe studio space Communicate effectively with staff and caregivers as needed
Qualifications:
Prior experience working with children is required (at least 1 year) Background in visual arts (degree or equivalent experience preferred) Training in the medium you are teaching Experience teaching or leading art classes strongly preferred Strongmunication and proven classroom management skills Reliable,anized, and enthusiastic
Preferred Qualities:
Passion formunity-based arts education Ability to adapt lessons for different age groups and skill levels Creative, patient, and collaborative mindset
