Job Description

St. Wenceslaus Catholic School is seeking a creative, energetic, and faith-filled educator to join our team as a full-time Art Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves working with students, fostering creativity, and helping children discover and develop their God-given talents through art. We are looking for an educator who can inspire imagination, encourage artistic expression, and create a classroom environment where students feel confident, engaged, and successful. At St. Wenceslaus, our mission is to provide a nurturing, faith-based educational experience for students in Preschool through 8th grade. As a rural Catholic school rooted in faith, tradition, academic excellence, and community, we strive to educate the whole child spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively. Position Overview The Art Teacher will: Teach engaging art classes to students across multiple grade levels Foster creativity and artistic exploration in a positive classroom environment Integrate Catholic values and faith into daily classroom life Encourage students to grow in confidence, creativity, and appreciation of the arts Support the school community through participation in events, activities, and displays of student work This role is ideal for an educator who is creative, organized, relational, and passionate about helping students express themselves through art.
Responsibilities The Art Teacher will:
Plan and deliver meaningful and developmentally appropriate art instruction Introduce students to a variety of artistic techniques, materials, and styles Create engaging projects that encourage creativity and critical thinking Maintain a structured, positive, and respectful classroom environment Display and celebrate student artwork throughout the school and community Collaborate with teachers and staff on school projects and events Support students spiritually, socially, and emotionally through positive relationships Participate in the faith life and mission of the school Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and administration
