Part-Time Art Teacher: Mexico, MO

Description St. Brendan Catholic School, a Catholic educational community dedicated to academic excellence and faith formation, is seeking a passionate and creative Part-Time Art Teacher. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore artistic expression while integrating Christian values and teachings into the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging art lessons for students in PK-8th. Teach a variety of artistic techniques, media, and art history concepts. Foster creativity, self-expression, and appreciation for the arts. Integrate Catholic identity , values, and traditions into art instruction where appropriate Maintain a positive, respectful, and faith-centered classroom environment. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. Organize and display student artwork throughout the school and at events. Collaborate with faculty and participate in school activities, meetings, and liturgical events, meetings, and liturgical events as appropriate. Ensure proper use and care of art supplies and classroom space.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree. Teaching certification (preferred). Prior teaching experience, especially with children (preferred). Practicing Catholic or willingness to support the mission and values of Catholic education. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to inspire and engage students of diverse learning styles.

Schedule:

Part-time, 2 days per week or 17 hours per week, based on school needs.

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
