Program:
The NEG Candle Making Class is a hands-on, creative workshop where participants learn to design and craft their own candles. The program blends artistry with practical skills, allowing participants to explore scent, color, and decorative techniques while producing a personalized candle to take home. Sessions emphasize creativity, safety, and an enjoyable social experience. Responsibilities Teach candle making techniques step-by-step Prepare and organize class materials and supplies Maintain a clean and safe workspace Assist students individually during workshops Explain candle curing, testing, and troubleshooting methods Manage class setup and cleanup Provide a welcoming and engaging learning environment Required Qualifications Experience making candles professionally or as an advanced hobbyist Strong knowledge of different wax types, fragrance oils, wicks, dyes, and candle safety Ability to teach beginners and intermediate students clearly and patiently Experience leading workshops, classes, or group instruction preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills Comfortable demonstrating techniques in front of groups Knowledge of proper handling of hot materials and safety procedures Reliable, organized, and punctual
