Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant community as an After School Art Instructor, where your passion for creativity and education will inspire young minds! Duties Plan and deliver age-appropriate art lessons that encourage creativity and self-expression Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging environment Support children's emotional and social development through positive reinforcement and guidance Incorporate elements of special education techniques to accommodate diverse learning needs Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including basic first aid procedures when necessary Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress and address individual needs Maintain organized supplies and ensure the cleanliness of the art space after each session Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, or camp settings Knowledge of classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques Ability to implement early childhood education principles in a creative context Certification in first aid and CPR preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified Strong understanding of childhood development and how it relates to artistic activities Experience with tutoring, babysitting, or working in daycare environments is highly desirable Excellent communication skills and a positive, energetic attitude toward working with students of all backgrounds Ability to adapt activities for children with special needs or varying skill levels, including those in special education programs Embark on a rewarding journey where your creativity fuels young imaginations!
