In this role, you will design engaging pottery and art curricula, facilitate classes that foster creativity, and nurture the artistic growth of students from early childhood to adult education levels. Your enthusiasm for craftsmanship and education will help cultivate a vibrant community where artistic expression flourishes. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive curriculum plans that incorporate pottery techniques, sculpture, and other art/craft forms tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels Lead engaging classroom sessions focused on pottery making, sculpture, painting, or related arts, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering creativity and confidence among students Maintain organized lesson materials and supplies, ensuring a safe and clean workspace for all participants Collaborate with other staff and instructors to develop special projects or community art initiatives that showcase student work and promote artistic appreciation Prior classroom experience in teaching pottery, ceramics, or visual arts with a strong understanding of classroom management techniques preferred Ability to develop engaging lesson plans for children, teens, or adults with varying skill levels in art instruction Experience working with school age children is highly desirable Knowledge of age appropriate activities Skills in interdisciplinary art teaching approaches beneficial Familiarity with special education needs and adapting art activities accordingly is a plus Demonstrated commitment to fostering creativity through curriculum development and hands-on instruction Join us in inspiring the next generation of artists!
