Substitute Teacher for Dance & Art (New Rochelle & Bronx)

Class Rate:

$30 per class Substitute Teaching - Dance & Art Substitute teachers provide instructional support when the regular instructor is absent. They are responsible for maintaining the structure of the class, following the lesson plan provided (when available), and ensuring a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities may include:

Teaching dance or art classes according to the provided curriculum/lesson plans. Supervising warm-ups, class exercises, and creative activities while ensuring student safety. Encouraging participation, creativity, and proper technique. Managing classroom behavior and keeping students on task. Adjusting lessons as needed to fit the skill level and needs of the group. Reporting attendance, class notes, or any issues to the program director. Qualities of a strong substitute teacher: Flexibility and adaptability. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Knowledge in dance and/or visual arts techniques. Ability to inspire students and keep them motivated. Professionalism and reliability.
