POSITION OVERVIEW NY
Enrichment Group is seeking a creative, energetic, and versatile Art Instructor to lead engaging visual art experiences for youth. The instructor will introduce students to a variety of art forms, including arts & crafts, graffiti-inspired art, and tie-dye projects. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about self-expression, skilled in hands-on instruction, and able to create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where students can explore creativity and build confidence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and lead engaging art lessons that include arts & crafts, graffiti-style artwork, and tie-dye projects. Introduce basic artistic techniques such as color mixing, pattern design, lettering, and composition. Encourage creativity, individuality, and positive self-expression through art. Guide students through hands-on projects while maintaining a safe and structured classroom environment. Ensure all materials are prepared before class and properly cleaned and stored afterward. Promote collaboration, respect, and creativity among students. Adapt activities to be age-appropriate and accessible for varying skill levels. Communicate with NYEG's Director of Operations regarding scheduling, materials, and program needs.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience teaching or facilitating visual arts, arts & crafts, or creative workshops. Familiarity with graffiti-inspired art styles and tie-dye techniques. Ability to manage groups of youth and maintain an engaging learning environment. Strong communication and organizational skills.
