Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Art Teacher on Saturday mornings to inspire creativity and foster artistic development in students across various age groups and abilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to cultivate a vibrant classroom environment where students can explore their artistic talents, develop their visual communication skills, and gain confidence through hands-on projects. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, innovative teaching strategies, and a commitment to nurturing each child's unique artistic journey. This paid position emphasizes engaging lesson planning, classroom management, and collaboration with colleagues to create a dynamic learning atmosphere. Responsibilities Teach drawing, painting, sculpting, and crafting skills to various ages Develop and implement comprehensive art curricula tailored to different age groups, including preschool, early childhood, elementary, and middle school levels Design monthly lesson plans that incorporate various art techniques, mediums, and cultural themes to stimulate student interest and creativity Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages self-expression, experimentation, and respect for diverse artistic perspectives Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting a safe and inclusive space for all students Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support growth Requirements Proven experience in classroom management and lesson planning with children Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is highly desirable Excellent communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues Reliable and Punctual Organized and Clear with instructions Pass a
