Aug 24, 2026 Job Description Creekside Community High School is seeking an Art teacher to teach visual arts and serve as an Advisor in our small, relational, alternative high school community. At Creekside, art is more than a class students take for credit. Art can help students explore identity, express emotion, build confidence, make meaning, tell stories, and contribute to the community. We are looking for a teacher who can help students see themselves as creative people with something important to say. We are open to a wide range of artistic mediums and course designs, including drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture, digital art, photography, design, applied art, public art, community-based art, craft, portfolio development, or other creative forms. The Art teacher will design accessible, engaging, culturally responsive classes for students with varied skill levels, interests, learning needs, and life experiences. Like all Creekside teachers, this teacher will also serve as an Advisor. Advisors are the primary relational anchor for a small group of students. They build strong relationships with students and families, monitor academic progress, support attendance and engagement, help students navigate challenges, and support planning for graduation, future pathways, and personal growth. The ideal candidate is relational, flexible, creative, organized, and excited to help students build confidence, belonging, skill, and a stronger sense of possibility for their future.Work Year:
