Part-time, In-Person Art Therapist/Art Teacher position beginning: immediately.
Payment:
Per session
Rate:
$35•$45 per hour long session•-includes implementation, planning & documentation.

Art Engagement Facilitator•Create Joy Through Art Do you believe in the power of creativity to connect people, lift spirits, and spark something new? Are you someone who brings a warm, encouraging energy into a room, and loves helping others express themselves through painting, drawing, collage, or other forms of visual art? We're looking for someone just like you to lead small group art-based sessions designed to inspire participation, creativity, and connection in our community of older adults. This role involves some local driving between care facilities, and the schedule is flexible, a great fit for someone looking for part-time hours or meaningful side work doing what they love.
What You'll Be Doing:
Leading fun, accessible art sessions tailored to your strengths—painting, collage, drawing, group mural-making, themed crafts, or whatever you bring to the table. Creating a welcoming, relaxed environment where residents feel safe to explore and express themselves. Encouraging engagement from participants of all abilities, including those who may have limited mobility, memory challenges, or don't usually initiate activity. Traveling to local care homes or assisted living communities to lead these sessions. Bringing joy, self-expression, and a sense of accomplishment to people who may not get that opportunity every day. This Could Be a
Great Fit If You:
Have experience working with older adults, especially in nursing homes, assisted living, or memory care settings. Are upbeat, patient, and comfortable guiding small groups with varying ability levels. Are a self-starter who can design and lead your own sessions, with creativity and care. Have a background in art instruction, recreational therapy, or art therapy, or have facilitated art experiences in community or care settings. Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. A bachelors degree is required, but we value your experience, creativity, and ability to connect above all.
