POSITION SUMMARY
- Art Teacher Revolution Christian Academy is seeking a resolute and Christ-centered Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to Christian education, academic excellence, and the spiritual formation of students. In alignment with the mission of the school and the standards of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), the teacher will integrate a biblical worldview throughout instruction while maintaining high professional and academic standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare weekly lesson plans and turn them into administration by 3:30 on Fridays weekly.
  • Prayerfully seek the Lord for your students and classroom.
  • Create and maintain a positive classroom environment that reflects biblical values and fosters academic growth.
  • Integrating biblical principles into lesson plans and classroom discussions.
  • Lead students to develop attitudes, skills, and knowledge about subject matter that will build their maturity and help them become more Christ-like.
  • Implement a sustainable classroom management system.
  • Assess and document student progress and provide feedback to parents and administration.
  • Attend required staff meetings and weekly devotions regularly and when on campus.
  • Attend parent-teacher conferences, in-service/training days, and school-sponsored events as required.
  • Tracking student grades, based on our grading system, for report cards quarterly.
  • Submitting quarterly grades for each student enrolled to classroom teachers by due dates.
  • Abiding by the policies and procedures outlined in the school's handbook
  • Cooperate with the administration in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school.
  • Maintaining a personal lifestyle and professional conduct in alignment with Christian values as outlined in the school's statement of faith.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in education or related field
  • Possession of a valid Tennessee teaching license is preferred; candidates without a license are encouraged to apply.
  • Praxis passed and endorsement posted inside TN Compass
  • Prior experience in a Christian or private school setting
  • Familiarity with ACSI accreditation standards and faith-based curriculum
  • Experience differentiating instruction to support diverse learners
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience providing instruction to children in a classroom or similar educational environment, including creating lesson plans and delivering engaging learning activities
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective classroom instruction and management
  • Effective communication, organizational, and people skills
  • Commitment to Christian education and discipleship of students
  • A clear calling and passion for educating students.
  • Experience working in a classroom setting.
  • CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Can demonstrate the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)
  • Nurturing, positive, and patient demeanor with all students
  • Creative with the ability to design memorable, engaging lessons.
  • Good scriptural knowledge base with the ability to teach Biblical-centered lessons effectively.
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate all safety protocols set in place for the school.
  • Proficient in computer skills
  • Follow attendance requirements and provided policies in place as per employee with Revolution Christian Academy (this will be listed inside employee handbook and provided copy during on-boarding)
SPIRITUAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Active, professing Christian with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Agreement with and support of the school's Christian Faith & belief in the Bible as the Word of God.
  • Regular attendance and involvement in a local Bible-believing church
  • Demonstrates a lifestyle consistent with biblical principles and Christian values
