Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic K-8 Art Teacher for the 2026-27 academic year to inspire creativity and foster artistic growth among students from kindergarten through eighth grade. In this role, you will develop engaging art curricula that align with educational standards, incorporate innovative learning technologies, and support diverse learning needs. Incorporate various learning technologies and digital tools to enhance artistic instruction and foster innovation in the classroom. Manage classroom behavior proactively through effective classroom management techniques, creating a safe and respectful learning environment. Assess student work regularly using formative and summative methods, including standardized testing when applicable, to monitor growth and inform instruction. Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, participate in school events such as art exhibitions or community outreach programs, and contribute to a vibrant school culture centered on creativity. Experience Prior classroom experience teaching art at the K-8 level in a formal educational setting is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in lesson planning tailored to diverse student needs across childhood development stages. Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education environments is advantageous. Familiarity with classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior and engagement.
