Job Description:
We are currently seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated Intermediate/High School Art Teacher to join our team at Eustace High School. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art and a passion for educating and inspiring students.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a curriculum and lesson plans that will foster knowledge and skills essential to effectively teach students about the elements of art. 2. Engage students in the creative process and encourage their talents, while also teaching them the fundamentals of art. 3. Evaluate and grade students' class work, performances, projects, assignments, and papers. 4. Prepare students for performances, exams, or assessments. 5. Instruct students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods. 6. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests. 7. Observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health. 8. Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations. 9. Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
Skills:
1. Strong knowledge of art history and different art genres in order to teach a range of art styles. 2. Ability to communicate concrete and abstract concepts to students 3. Ability to spot and cultivate creativity 4. Strong organizational skills 5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 6. Patience and flexibility
Certifications:
