In this role, you will design engaging art curricula that align with educational standards, promote self-expression, and enhance students' understanding of visual arts. Your energetic approach will motivate students to explore their artistic talents while integrating various teaching techniques and learning technologies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in childhood development, classroom management, and curriculum development, ensuring a nurturing environment where every child can thrive creatively. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive art lesson plans that incorporate elements of literacy education, math, and other core subjects to support holistic student growth. Foster a positive classroom environment through effective behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques. Utilize learning technology tools to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement in art projects. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing where applicable. Mentor students individually or in small groups to support special education needs, early intervention strategies, or working with children with autism. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school events, and extracurricular activities such as library services or community art projects. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and other administrative documentation in education management systems. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student achievements, behavioral concerns, or special needs requirements. Support inclusive education by adapting lessons for early childhood education levels and working with students across diverse learning abilities. Experience Proven classroom experience as an elementary teacher or art educator in a school setting. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development tailored for early childhood education and childhood development principles. Experience working with students with special needs, including autism spectrum disorder or early intervention programs. Familiarity with teaching physical education or integrating movement into art activities is a plus. Strong writing skills for lesson planning, report writing, and communication with parents and staff. Knowledge of learning technology platforms used in educational settings to facilitate interactive lessons. Previous private school experience or Montessori training is advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
