Job Description

Art Camp Counselor Elite University Summer Camps - Bellaire $10.00 per hour Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Elite University Summer Camps is seeking an energetic, creative, and dependable Art Camp Counselor to join our Bellaire campus team for Summer 2026. This position is ideal for someone who genuinely loves working with children, enjoys creating hands-on art experiences, and wants to spend the summer making a positive impact in a fun camp environment. Responsibilities Lead engaging daily art activities for campers ages 3-10 Adapt projects for multiple age groups, including ages 3-5, 6-7, and 8-10 Follow weekly camp themes and incorporate them into art lessons Bring creativity, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas to camp programming Maintain a positive, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment Supervise campers during camp activities, transitions, lunch, recess, and field trips Participate in weekly field trips and special events Work collaboratively with camp staff and site leadership Ensure camper safety and well-being at all times Qualifications Experience working with children in camps, schools, childcare centers, after-school programs, or similar settings Experience teaching, leading, or assisting with art activities Ability to manage groups of children while keeping activities fun and engaging Reliable, professional, and punctual Positive attitude and strong communication skills Ability to work outdoors and participate in camp activities Must enjoy working with children and creating memorable summer experiences Preferred Qualifications Background in art, education, early childhood education, or youth development Experience developing or implementing lesson plans and curriculum Experience working with multiple age groups Previous summer camp experience Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is creative, flexible, energetic, and passionate about working with children. The ideal candidate can take a weekly theme and turn it into exciting art projects that campers look forward to each day.
