Job Description

Position Summary Creō Farm School is seeking a passionate, engaging, and student-centered Spanish Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate inspires a love of language and culture through immersive, hands-on learning experiences while fostering confidence in communication. Our Spanish program emphasizes practical language skills, cultural understanding, and meaningful connections rather than rote memorization. As a member of our faculty, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to integrate Spanish across disciplines and help students develop curiosity, independence, and a global perspective. Responsibilities Teach Spanish courses to middle and high school students. Develop engaging lessons aligned with Arizona World Language Standards. Foster conversational proficiency through immersive and interactive instruction. Integrate Hispanic cultures, history, geography, literature, music, and traditions into the curriculum. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessments. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress using school systems. Communicate regularly with students and families regarding academic progress. Collaborate with faculty to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities. Participate in school events, field experiences, community activities, and professional development. Support the school's Montessori philosophy by encouraging independence, collaboration, and self-directed learning. Qualifications Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish. Experience teaching middle and/or high school students preferred. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Passion for experiential and project-based learning. Preferred Qualifications Montessori experience or willingness to learn Montessori philosophy. Experience with mixed-age classrooms. Experience incorporating technology into language instruction. Ability to organize cultural events, travel opportunities, or language immersion experiences. Requirements Proven classroom experience as a Spanish teacher or in a similar educational role within private or Montessori school settings preferred. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and childhood development principles. Familiarity with LMS platforms, learning technology tools, and digital resources for language instruction. Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds, including those with special needs or disabilities; knowledge of behavior management techniques is essential. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom environments confidently while fostering a love for language learning.
