The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, creative, and skilled at using play-based and interactive methods to help young children gain confidence in speaking the language. Responsibilities Teach small group classes (K-3) in Traditional Chinese, focusing on both oral language and literacy foundations Incorporate songs, games, stories, and creative activities into lessons to make learning engaging and fun Foster a classroom environment that promotes confidence, respect, and curiosity Collaborate with other staff to support DSH's literacy and enrichment goals Qualifications Proficiency in Traditional Chinese (speaking, reading, and writing) Experience teaching or tutoring young children (K-3) Ability to design and deliver creative, play-based lessons Patient, encouraging, and able to build children's confidence in language learning Previous teaching experience in language or enrichment programs preferred Schedule & Pay Part-time, weekday afternoons (specific schedule to be discussed) Approximately5-8 hours per week to start, with potential for additional classes
