Our goal is to make learning Chinese fun, engaging, and accessible through interactive activities, games, cultural projects, and hands-on learning experiences. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and energetic instructors who enjoy working with children and creating a positive classroom experience. What Makes This Position Unique No curriculum design required. Detailed lesson plans are provided. All worksheets, classroom materials, and supplies are prepared for you. Focus on teaching, engaging students, and building a positive classroom environment. Ongoing support and training provided. Responsibilities Teach after-school Chinese enrichment classes for students in Grades K-5 using provided curriculum and lesson materials. Lead interactive activities, games, and cultural projects. Foster a positive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment. Adapt instruction to meet the needs of students with different language backgrounds and learning styles. Monitor student participation and progress. Communicate attendance and basic classroom updates to the Program Director. Maintain a safe and professional learning environment. Qualifications Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese. Experience working with children is preferred. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Reliable, organized, and professional. Passion for education and helping young learners succeed. Teaching experience is a plus but not required. Schedule Part-time position. Approximately 5 teaching hours per week. Most classes are held on weekday afternoons and begin around 2:00 PM. Additional paid time is provided for travel, preparation, and related responsibilities. Total compensated hours are approximately 8-10 hours per week. Compensation $25-30 per hour, depending on experience. Paid preparation and travel time included. Opportunities for additional hours as programs expand. Professional development and advancement opportunities available. Location Classes are held at elementary schools throughout the East Bay.
