Contract / Part-Time Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and engaging Sign Language Instructor (ASL) to teach children from Kindergarten through middle school during our summer program. The ideal candidate loves working with children and can make learning American Sign Language fun, interactive, and meaningful. Responsibilities Teach introductory American Sign Language (ASL) to small groups of children Plan and lead interactive, age-appropriate lessons and activities Incorporate games, songs, and visual learning strategies Create a positive, encouraging classroom environment Adapt teaching methods for different age groups and learning levels Communicate effectively with staff and parents when needed Qualifications Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, camps, or similar) Strong communication and classroom management skills Energetic, patient, and creative personality Background in education, child development, or related field (preferred) Schedule & Details Summer program (June - August, flexible based on availability) Part-time hours (morning and/or afternoon sessions) Small class sizes for more personalized teaching Possiblity to continue during school year with Benefits (W-2 only) Vision insurance Dental insurance Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Supportive and collaborative work environment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in children's learning How to Apply Please send your resume and a brief introduction to:
