Job Description

ESL Teacher for Junior Summer program Job description Background The English Language Center (ELC), runs Summer Campus Programs for students 11-17 years old. Our summer program at UCLA gives students the opportunity to study English in the summer and have fun with other international students at UCLA. Offered during June, July, and August our summer campus programs provide adult students and junior students with a 20-lesson per week Semi-Intensive English Course, on-campus accommodation, and daily activities. Skills & Requirements The English Language Center (www.elc.edu) is seeking energetic, self-motivated, and experienced teachers of English as a Second Language for international high school, college, and adult students. Ideal candidates will have a breadth of experience in instructional methods, and she/he will be passionate about cross-cultural teaching. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in TESOL or a closely related field such as English or Education is required, and a Master's degree is preferred. Candidates should have significant and relevant experience working with students from a variety of cultural backgrounds, as well as have strong interpersonal communication skills. We are looking for substitute teachers, part-time teachers, and potentially full-time teachers to teach grammar, conversation skills, vocabulary acquisition - 15 hours a week.
