Job Description

Description Nativity Catholic School in Torrance is seeking a dynamic, engaging, and faith-filled Part-Time Spanish Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will provide Spanish language instruction for students in grades 4-8, promote the development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Spanish, and foster an appreciation for Spanish-speaking cultures. The teacher will create a positive and engaging classroom environment, collaborate with faculty and administration, and support the mission and values of Catholic education. Requirements Bachelor's degree required. Fluency in Spanish required. Valid California teaching credential preferred. Previous experience teaching Spanish at the elementary and/or middle school level preferred. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Ability to engage students through interactive and age-appropriate language instruction. Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, faculty, and administration.' Commitment to supporting the mission and philosophy of Catholic education. Must successfully complete Archdiocese of Los Angeles fingerprinting and Safe Environment requirements. Practicing Catholic preferred but not required. Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
