Spanish Teacher (Full Time) Holy Names High School 2026-2027 School Year Holy Names High School is seeking a full-time Spanish teacher to join our amazing faculty for the 2026-2027 school year. Holy Names High School is a small, all-girls Catholic high school located in Oakland's Upper Rockridge neighborhood, serving a diverse student population from across Oakland and the East Bay. Courses This position includes teaching Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3, and Spanish 4/AP Job Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in Spanish
• Design and implement meaningful assessments that support student growth and mastery
• Teach to a variety of learning styles and provide differentiated instruction
• Foster student engagement through hands-on activities, project-based learning, and real-world applications
• Assess, record, and communicate student progress through timely feedback and grading
• Be available to support students during office hours before and after school
• Maintain an organized, safe, and vibrant classroom and laboratory environment
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school stakeholders
• Participate in faculty meetings, department collaboration, and professional development
• Utilize restorative practices to build classroom community and support student relationships
• Contribute to the broader school community through supervision duties and events
• Engage in additional opportunities to support school programming, such as Advisory, Class Moderator roles, retreats, or other student-centered initiatives Qualifications
• California Teaching Credential in Science or enrollment in a credential program
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Experience teaching high school spanish courses
• Commitment to the mission and values of Holy Names High School
• Ability to connect with and support a diverse student and family community
• Strong classroom management skills grounded in restorative practices
