  • February Opportunity for Advancement About the Role The Mandarin Substitute Teacher
  • Long Term Assignment has the fun opportunity to enjoy working with a wide variety of students and implementing an array of teaching methods and techniques.
Your knowledge of Mandarin subject matter and executing lesson plans will help ensure the classroom runs smoothly on any day as necessary. The emphasis will be on vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This person must be professionally prepared to teach Mandarin to K-8 students. You will also… Collaborate with other faculty and staff members Cover classroom duties as needed Monitor and assess student progress Maintain an ordered and arranged classroom environment Perform other duties as assigned What We Are Looking For Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Two years of prior classroom experience in an K-8 setting Must be fluent in English and Mandarin Be authorized to work in the U.S. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. In general, this position requires an individual to frequently walk, stand, sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, twist, listen, read, write, and speak the English language.
